Focus and Scope
The International Journal of Educational Contemporary Explorations (IJECE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse on contemporary issues in education.
The International Journal of Educational Contemporary Exploration (IJECE) aims to be a leading forum for the exploration and dissemination of new knowledge, research, and practice related to contemporary issues in education on a global scale.
IJECE will publish original, high-quality scholarship that explores the complexities and opportunities of education in the new era. We welcome submissions from a wide range of educational disciplines and perspectives, including but not limited to:
- Emerging trends and challenges: This could include topics like AI and the impact of technology on education, globalization in education, access and equity issues, and the changing nature of work and its implications for education.
- Innovative pedagogical practices: We encourage submissions that explore new teaching and learning methods, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
- Comparative and international education: We welcome research that compares and contrasts educational systems and practices across different countries and regions.
- Policy analysis and advocacy: IJECE will consider articles that analyze current educational policies and propose solutions to address contemporary challenges.
- The role of educators: We are interested in scholarship that explores the changing roles and responsibilities of educators in today’s world across disciplines, including but not limited to engineering and social science, that encompass a wide range of approaches to contemporary studies on education.
IJECE will consider the following types of submissions:
- Research articles: These should report on original empirical research using a variety of methodologies.
- Theoretical articles: These should develop new theoretical frameworks or provide critical analysis of existing theories related to contemporary education.
- Review articles: These should provide a comprehensive overview of current research on a specific topic in contemporary education.
- Book reviews: These should critically evaluate recent books relevant to the journal’s scope.
- Case studies: These should present and analyze a specific educational experience or program.
- Graduate Theses/Dissertations: Ways for budding researchers such as doctoral and master’s students to leverage their thesis/dissertation work for the journal:
–Develop journal articles: Thesis and dissertation chapters can be adapted into shorter, more focused journal articles that address a specific research question or finding within the larger study.
– Pilot studies: If your thesis/dissertation included a pilot study, you could potentially submit that as a separate article to IJECE, especially if it explores a new methodology or tackles a novel aspect of the research topic.
–Literature review: A strong literature review chapter from your thesis/dissertation could be reworked into a standalone review article for IJECE, providing valuable background and context for other scholars in the field.
