Journal Overview

The International Journal of Educational Contemporary Explorations (IJECE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing contemporary educational research across diverse global contexts. Established on 11 November 2023, the journal carries the ISSN 3028-1865 and is published biannually, issuing two regular numbers each year (January–June and July–December). Each issue remains open for submissions during its publication cycle to encourage continuous knowledge dissemination.

IJECE served as a platform for empirical studies, theoretical analyses, and interdisciplinary scholarship that explored emerging issues, modern challenges, and innovative practices in education. The journal welcomed manuscripts that investigated 21st-century educational transformations shaped by technology, globalization, evolving learner needs, policy shifts, and the changing nature of work. It encouraged submissions that examined teaching and learning innovations, comparative and international education, equity and inclusion, educational policy, teacher roles, and other contemporary themes that shaped educational development.

The journal accepted a wide range of scholarly contributions, including original research articles, theoretical papers, review articles, case studies, book reviews, and reworked graduate theses or dissertations that met academic publication standards. IJECE applied a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and scholarly relevance of every manuscript. Articles accepted for publication were made freely accessible online without article processing charges, reflecting the journal’s commitment to open knowledge and global readership.

IJECE adhered to strict publication ethics aligned with COPE guidelines. It followed transparent policies on authorship responsibilities, editorial duties, reviewer conduct, and plagiarism screening. The journal supported authors’ rights by allowing them to retain copyright under an approved Creative Commons license, and it maintained policies for corrections, retractions, and republication when necessary.

Published by VirtualRealia.Org, the journal operated within an international framework, with its national office located in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Philippines, and its international office in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. This global presence reinforced the journal’s mission to cultivate international dialogue, foster high-quality scholarship, and support educational research communities worldwide.

Through its multidisciplinary orientation, ethical standards, and accessible distribution model, IJECE aimed to be a reliable and influential venue for contemporary educational research, serving educators, researchers, policymakers, and graduate students seeking credible and current academic knowledge.
